Animal Rescue
At Little Yellow Plane, we provide a vital lifeline for animals in need, offering safe and efficient air transport across the Hawaiian Islands. With many smaller islands facing limited veterinary services, overfilled shelters and full foster homes, air travel is often the only option to ensure animals get the care and second chances they deserve.
Our rescue flights help transport animals to emergency vet appointments when local care isn’t available, relocate pets from overcrowded shelters to facilities with space and resources, move rehabilitated rescue animals to sanctuaries, provide a flight alternative for animals unable to travel on commercial airlines due to size, breed restrictions, or health concerns, and coordinate relocation efforts for animals being transported out of Hawaii to their forever homes.

STEM Programs
At Little Yellow Plane, we’re passionate about inspiring the next generation of aviators and STEM professionals. Through our hands-on kids’ camps at the airport, young learners get an inside look at the world of aviation, exploring different roles and engaging with industry professionals. We also participate in STEM events for girls and women, helping to break barriers and spark a passion for flight in future aviators.
Beyond the airport, we engage in career events to introduce aspiring pilots to the possibilities of aviation, encouraging them to dream big and reach for the skies.
Community Support
At Little Yellow Plane, we believe in lifting our community—one flight at a time.
From delivering critical supplies during the Lahaina Fire relief efforts to collecting backpacks and school supplies for children on our outer islands, we are committed to serving those in need. We fly and serve meals to our kūpuna and underserved communities, support local farmers by transporting essential supplies, and assist veterinarians traveling to outer islands for animal clinics. Even during the holidays, we spread joy by delivering homemade cookies to firefighters across the state. No matter the mission, our wings are always ready to serve.
Flight Training
At Little Yellow Plane, we’re dedicated to making aviation accessible and inspiring the next generation of pilots. Through our flight training programs, we introduce youth to the world of aviation and provide hands-on opportunities for underserved kids to take to the skies.
By offering flight training to aspiring pilots, we not only open doors to new career paths but also use these training hours to support our broader mission—fueling animal rescue flights and community support efforts.
Every lesson learned in the air helps us give back on the ground, creating a ripple effect of impact across the islands.
