Moloka’i Thanksgiving
For Thanksgiving, Little Yellow Plane took to the skies to deliver more than 250 hot meals to our kūpuna and underserved communities on Molokaʻi. With the help of six generous volunteer pilots—including private pilots and even an F-22 fighter pilot—we flew from Honolulu to hand-deliver meals with warmth and aloha. In partnership with local firefighters, we ensured each meal reached the hands of those who needed it most. It was a powerful reminder that when our community comes together, compassion truly knows no bounds—or borders.
Lana’i & Moloka’i School Supplies Drive
Ahead of the new school year, Little Yellow Plane launched a school supplies drive to support students on Lānaʻi and Molokaʻi. With help from our community, we raised funds to fill 150 backpacks with essential school supplies—giving local youth the tools they need to succeed. Five dedicated pilots volunteered their planes and time to deliver the backpacks directly to the islands, ensuring every student received their supplies with dignity and care. Because every child deserves the chance to start the school year prepared and confident.
Annual Holiday Cookie Drop
Each year, Little Yellow Plane spreads holiday cheer with our Annual Cookie Delivery to air traffic control towers and airport fire stations across the islands. Dressed in festive costumes and full of aloha, our team takes to the skies to personally deliver homemade cookies to the dedicated professionals who keep our skies safe. It’s our sweet way of saying mahalo to the controllers and firefighters who support our missions year-round—and a reminder that even a small gesture can bring big smiles.
Kaneohe Bay Airshow
At the Kaneohe Bay Airshow, Little Yellow Plane was proud to be part of the static display, offering an exciting hands-on experience for kids in our Cessna 150. We had the honor of inspiring the next generation of aviators—especially as the only all-female flight crew at the event. By sharing our passion for flight with the young dreamers who visited, we sparked curiosity and empowered them to reach for the skies. It was a powerful reminder that representation matters, and every flight we take brings us closer to a more inclusive and inspired future for aviation.
Discover Your Future Day at Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum
Little Yellow Plane joined local flight schools and nonprofits at the Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum for “Discover Your Future Day,” an event designed to showcase the endless possibilities in aviation careers. With open cockpit tours, hands-on experiences, and aviation experts on hand, we provided a unique opportunity for aspiring pilots and aviation enthusiasts to explore the world of flight. It was a day full of inspiration and learning, sparking the imaginations of the next generation of aviators and showing them that the sky is truly the limit.
Pono Outdoors Program Airport Camp
For the second year in a row, Little Yellow Plane hosted the Pono Outdoors Program Airport Day Camp, welcoming over 30 kids for a hands-on introduction to aviation. The day was packed with learning and adventure—from aircraft mechanics and aerodynamics to making radio calls and meeting the rescue helicopter pilots from Windward Aviation. The campers toured medevac airplanes, got an up-close look at airport fire trucks, and even got to try their hand at using fire hoses! To wrap up the day, they put their newfound knowledge to the test by building and flying their own paper airplanes. It was a fun-filled day that sparked curiosity and gave these kids the chance to explore the world of aviation in a truly unforgettable way.
